Murder arrests over woman's death

17 June 2011 Last updated at 22:45 GMT Police have begun a murder inquiry after an elderly woman robbed in the street in West Yorkshire died of her injuries.

The 89-year-old was mugged in Quarry Road, Gomersal, shortly before 1400 BST on Friday.

Police said she was reportedly attacked by a man who made off with her bag and left her with serious head injuries.

She died in Bradford Royal Infirmary. A 26-year-old man and a woman, 25, are being held on suspicion of murder.
