Officers were called to reports of a disturbance in Whinhall Avenue, Airdrie The death of a 30-year-old man in Airdrie is being treated as suspicious, police have said. Officers found the man seriously injured after reports of a disturbance in the town's Whinhall Avenue at about 1350 BST on Saturday.
The man was taken to Monklands Hospital for treatment but died from his injuries.
Strathclyde Police have appealed for anyone with information about the death to come forward.
A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police said: "A post-mortem will be carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death, however, meantime the death is being treated as suspicious."
